Yahoo has added a new feature in its yahoo messenger, which allows you to create your very own yahoo messenger chat box, for your website where you can chat with your viewers or you  can add it in various social networking sites which it supports to talk to your friends. cool isnt it ?

You can even embed a chat box in you scrapbook where you can talk to strangers who visit your scrapbook.

Pretty nice.

So to make a chat box all you need to do are the following steps given bellow.

1. Log into your yahoo account.

2. Go to Yahoo Pingbox Studio

3. Create your desired pingbox with any theme you want.

4. When you save your pingbox and it’ll take you to the next page where it’ll provide you the code.

5. Here select “Any website” if you are making it for your website or select “Hi5″ if you want it for Orkut.

6. When you get the code. Post it in your scrapbook and in you friends scrapbook, or embed it in your website. You need to be logged into yahoo to use this feature.

Any visitor who see this box can choose a Nick name and can chat with you.

7. You can also use this feature with yahoo messenger on you PC, if someone wants to chat with you in your pingbox you can also chat with them with yahoo messenger on you PC.

As social life is getting more and more personal to everyone of us, it is getting more and more vulnerable to being hacked. There’s nothing personal in the cyber worlds these days. Everyone and anyone can be hacked, taking a clue from this the Indian Army issued a notice to its personals asking not to post any sensitive information on the web or social networking sites.

“The circular has been issued recently in a bid to create cyber awareness among the net users in the army. It has been sent to all the units of the army across the country,” a senior army official confirmed to IANS, requesting anonymity.

The army estimates 35,000 of its 1.1 million soldiers are active on internet. Soldiers who voilate this order will also be violating “good order and discipline” rules under the Army Act, and can face serious mprisoned for a term up to seven years.

The army will also be issuing instructions of do’s and dont’s on internet.

The circular has sparked a debate within the ranks of the army with some security tips.

“If an engineer, doctor and lawyer can write what his profession is why can’t an armed forces personnel do so. However, one should not give other details like area of posting and nature of work,” a young officer said, on condition of anonymity.

However, another senior officer pointed out: “These officers, who reveal their profession forget one thing that anyone can get close to them online and extract sensitive information.”
