Adblock Plus

This is just an amazing plugin, and is always installed on my firefox. I just hate those ads on websites and blogs which contain pornographic content or open pop ups when clicked. If you don’t like them either this is the best add-on for you. Adblock Plus does an exceptional job in blocking ads.

Right-click on a banner and choose      “Adblock” from the context menu — the    banner won’t be downloaded again. Maybe  even replace parts of the banner address  with star symbols to block similar banners  as well. Or choose a filter subscription, then  even this simple task will usually be          unnecessary: the filter subscription will                        block most advertisements fully                                                                                     automatically.

An automatic update solution for ads list is also available. The only downside of adblock plus is that it can also result in a page not displaying as designed, often ommitting necessary content. But that can be changed by disabling adblock. But still its an amazing plug every firefox user should have it, and its also free.

If you manage one or more than one website then it is possible that you are using adsense or have used it before. And i find it quite inconvenient to login my adsense account to see how much did i earn, but this is a handy addon, it provides live update about your adsense on firefox’s status-bar, it allows you to easily see your earnings at a glance instead of logging into the Adsense website multiple times a day. IE Tabs

I find myself using this extension less and less as more Web developers code their Web sites following standards. However, occasionally you will find it necessary to open a Web site using Internet Explorer in order for it to render correctly. Rather than taking the time to launch a separate browser, just choose “View Page in IE tab” and an Internet Explorer tab opens in Firefox. This is very useful if you like to have multiple Gmail accounts open and active on one computer.

Customize Google

Customize Google is a very robust extension that lets you customize many features of the services provided by Google. Customize Google lets you block advertisements on pretty much any Google page (including Gmail). It remaps Google Images search results to point directly at the images (no longer will you need to click through the originating site). Download Statusbar manages your downloads in the status bar instead of the Firefox Download Manager. I find that the download manager that comes with Firefox to be very intrusive. Download manager tucks your download progress bars into the generally unused status bar of Firefox. URL Fixer

URL fixer will replace the common typos you enter when typing a Web site into the URL bar (i.e., http://www.lifehack.rog, htp://lifehack.org). Not a tool you need every day, but really useful when you want it, DownThemAll is a selective, powerful download manager. For Firefox changes that require deep browser integration (like adding a new button to the browser’s chrome), there are extensions. For everything else, there’s Greasemonkey. Greasemonkey is a difficult extension for the uninitiated to wrap their heads around, but once they do, it’s a breeze. In essence, Greasemonkey is a meta-extension of sorts.
