Opera 10 Beta Review

The browser war started by Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer in the early 90’s is still on it’s way and i think will continue till internet lasts. This competition is getting better and better every-time, and when the heat builds up here it certainly benefits the users.

From a long time Firefox had it’s dominance in the web browser marketplace. But this period only lasted till Google launched its chrome which was faster less resource consuming and a better browser. Then google stepped into the race, it got even intense for other companies. Mozilla acting quick launched a new version of firefox v3, then again google came up with google chrome v2, them apple also came in action and lunched Safari-4, IE was nowhere to be seem in this race. According to me Safari turned out to be the best with more than 100 new features with a clean look more browsing area nice performance. So i thought that the great minds of apple took it, but that wasnt the end, Opera is now coming up with its new browser Opera v10.

Which can be huge, because all the browsers lack something or the other, like Firefox costs you performance, while chrome and safari do not provide you with enough addon support. But opera can turn out to be LEGEN……….wait for it…….. DARY!!. Now this will bring us even more quality products. because if they’ll fell the competition, it’ll surely keep them working on their toes ;)

Opera the new v10 provides all the features that you could imagine of. It is best for power users who keep many pages open at once and perform frequent downloads. There’s an e-mail program included, but banner ads on the free version of the browser are annoying. It provides a big browsing space, supporst plugins. Its faster than any other browser in terms of performance(40% faster than v9), while there is a new feature added turbo mode which claims to a cure for low bandwidth users and will turn out to be a V8 for broadband users. ;) . Also it has a POP client in it too, now thats what i call smart. ;) Speed Dial and tabbed browsing seems to be the same but they have tried to improve every feature of it doesnt matter even if its old. It might not be the best but its sure worth trying.

I was really waiting for this feature to to be added in orkut and facebook. As Myspace was using it for such a long time, and it is so convenient. Well Orkut did disappoints me every-time, but facebook lived up to its expectations.

If u didn’t get what i mean then keep reading.

Most of the users on Facebook are mostly real and they also use there personal identity as an individual on Facebook, the one place, though, where your identity wasn’t reflected was in the Web address for your profile or the Facebook Pages you administer. The URL was just a randomly assigned number like “id=592952074.” That soon will change.

The new URL’s will make it easier for you to connect, with your family and friends. From now on you’ll see something like this.
